Adventure – who doesn’t love a good adventure in life? Whether that be an adventure down to the local park or a holiday to a remote part of the world.
This sense of adventure and curiosity plays an integral role in the life of Dr Alison Chen and it is these values that help guide her through life.
Alison is a board certified and licensed Naturopathic Doctor from Toronto, Canada and the winner of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine’s Humanitarian award. Her background in competitive gymnastics, volunteer work in Africa, and honors degree in biology give her a well-rounded view to living well. Alison believes invaluable health care integrates Western science with Traditional holistic energetic medicine to provide individualized safe and effective natural treatments.
In order to fulfill her passion for travel Alison had to re-think her business model, from being a face to face practioner to being able to make an impact without being in a clinical situation. Together with her husband Jon, they spend a good portion of the year travelling and embracing new experiences. She is constantly on the look out for ways to open up possibilities in her business and her world.
Alison is also the author of 2 books “What Your Poo Says About You” and “Adventure, adventure awaits for us all” – two very different, yet fun books.
In this episode we go on a conversation adventure. As Alison has so much to offer and has a vast range of experiences to draw from our conversation dipped into Holistic Health, entrepreneurship, poo (obviously), marriage, challenges, digestive health and being vulnerable.
